Swerve Strickand Teases Documentary About Journey To Becoming AEW World Champion

The promotion's world champion Swerve Strickland won at AEW Dynasty after a year of success. He said his promotion journey was documented and will be released soon as a documentary.

On the latest episode of "Wrestling with Freddie," Strickland said that the Academy Award-winning Lucas Brothers have been following him around since last year's Full Gear pay-per-view and have filmed a lot of content of him.

"The Lucas Brothers filmed me becoming the first African-American AEW World Champion, which will be turned into a documentary series." They're great people.

They were there for Dynasty in St. Louis, Worlds End, and Revolution, and they haven't stopped since Full Gear. The group said, "We're still going; we still have a lot of stories to tell."

Strickland beat Dustin Rhodes at Worlds End, but Samoa Joe beat him and "Hangman" Adam Page at Revolution, taking away his first chance to win the world title.

First, Strickland beat Page at Full Gear. Then, he beat Joe at Dynasty to win his first AEW world title.
