How To Make Buttermilk

Talk about buttermilk. Buttermilk makes baked foods light, fluffy, and tangy.   

– 1 tablespoon vinegar* or lemon juice – 1 cup milk of choice**


Use a liquid measuring cup to measure vinegar or lemon juice  


Step 1

Fill the measuring cup to 1 cup with milk. 

Step 2

Shake and let the mixture settle for 5–10 minutes.   

Step 3

Milk will separate somewhat (curdle). Use as directed.
