Easy Diy Peelable Mango Gummy Candy Recipe

Walgreens became the place to go to get peelable mango gummies, a treat that became famous on TikTok. Can't seem to find them? Follow our recipe to make your own.


FOR THE GUMMIES 2 tablespoons water 2 (0.25-ounce) packets unflavored gelatin powder 1 ½ cups fresh or thawed frozen mango chunks 1 ½ tablespoons honey 2 teaspoons lemon juice Pinch of kosher salt FOR THE MOLDS 3 cups cornstarch 1 dried lima bean



Mix water and gelatine in a medium bowl. Give it 5 minutes. Smooth mango in blender or processor. A cup of purée should result.


Mix ½ cup mango puree, honey, lemon juice, and salt in a small pot over low heat. Simmer. Keep the remaining ½ cup mango puree.  


Stir gelatine in pot to dissolve. Stop cooking.Divide mango-gelatin mixture evenly between bowls. Keep one bowl.Add ½ cup mango puree to the remaining bowl.  


Add the mango puree to a piping bag or squeeze bottle with the remaining ½ cup. Set aside.Make mango moulds by uniformly coating a 9x13-inch rimmed baking sheet or dish with cornflour.  


Glue a large dried lima bean to a cake pop stick or wooden skewer to construct the mould.Create 45 mango-shaped wells by pressing set bean into cornflour.  


Fill each well with mango mixture using a piping bag or squeeze bottle. Freeze gummies 15 minutes.Tiny baking sheet paper.


To remove cornflour, rinse mango gummies in a medium dish with cold water. Drain on parchment-lined baking sheet.   


Heat the remaining mango-gelatin mixture in the microwave or double boiler until smooth. Mixture should not exceed 200 F. One by one, dip gummies in mango. Each gummy on the parchment-lined baking sheet should be replaced.  


Refrigerate 2 hours or overnight.Eat "peel" gummies. Remember, peels are edible!
