Easy Cilantro Lime Shrimp Recipe

This cilantro lime shrimp recipe uses soft shrimp, butter, garlic, cumin, lime juice, and fresh cilantro. This dish is ready in minutes!  

– 2 tablespoons butter – 1 pound extra large shrimp peeled and deveined – ½ teaspoon salt – ¼ teaspoon pepper – 2 teaspoons minced garlic – ¼ teaspoon cumin – ¼ cup chopped cilantro leave – 2 tablespoons lime juice – cilantro springs and lime wedges for garnish


In a large saucepan, melt the butter by heating it over high heat. Make sure to season the shrimp with a generous amount of salt and pepper.  


Step 1

When the shrimp are pink and opaque, add them to the pan and cook them for three to four minutes while stirring them occasionally.  

Step 2

Continue to simmer for one more minute after adding the garlic and cumin. The lime juice and cilantro should be stirred in.  

Step 3

Immediately serve, garnishing with lime wedges and cilantro sprigs, if preferred, and serve immediately.
