Easy Breakfast Burgers With Bacon Jam Recipe

On a baked English muffin, these are the BEST Breakfast Burgers. They have bacon jam, cheese, and a fried egg.

– 4 Tablespoons butter, melted – 4 English muffin – 1 lb. ground beef – 1 teaspoon Kosher salt – ½ teaspoon ground pepper – ½ teaspoon garlic powder – ½ teaspoon brown sugar – Vegetable oil, to coat – 4 slices Muenster cheese – 1 Tablespoon butter or olive oil – 4 egg – 1 cup bacon onion jam – 4 lettuce leave

INGREDIENTS 

Homemade burgers. Hand-form four equal beef balls. Palm-press each ball to make burgers. No precise circle needed.  Put your thumb in each burger's midsection to avoid doming.

INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1

Season. In a small bowl, add salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Season both sides of burgers.

Step 2

Fried burgers. Medium-high heat, oil a cast iron pan. Place patties in skillet when oil shimmers. Turn and cook 2-3 more minutes until done (heat chart). 

Step 3

Melt muenster slices on covered or sheet-pan burgers last minute. Putting burgers on loose foil. Make English muffins. After toasting, butter English muffins.

Step 4

Egg-make. Melt butter in another skillet on medium. Put eggs. Cook 2-3 minutes until white is mostly done. Flip and turn off heat gently. 

Step 5

Transfer pan to plate after 30–45 seconds. It makes runny-yolked over-easy eggs. Firm egg needs 2 minutes extra frying. Sprinkle salt and pepper.

Step 6

Homemade burgers. Put burgers on lettuce-lined English muffins. Add bacon jam and fried egg. English muffin. Enjoy!
