Delicious Buckeye Brownies Recipe

Rich Buckeye Brownies have fudgy brownies, creamy peanut butter icing, and semi-sweet chocolate.

For the brownies: – 1 1/2 sticks (12 Tablespoons) unsalted butter – 1 cup brown sugar – 3/4 cup white sugar – 3 egg – 1 egg yolk – 2 teaspoons vanilla – 1/2 teaspoon of salt – 1 cup sifted cocoa powder – 1/3 cup all purpose flour For the frosting: – 1 stick (8 Tablespoons) unsalted butter, at room temperature – 1 cup creamy peanut butter – 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar, sifted – 1 teaspoon vanilla – Pinch salt For the chocolate: – 8 ounces semi sweet chocolate – 1 teaspoon coconut oil – Flaky sea salt, for serving


Make brownies. Preheat oven to 350. Serving brownies: grease an 8x8-inch baking dish or lift them with parchment paper. Set aside.


Step 1

Melt butter in a pot on medium. Whisk brown and white sugar until smooth, 1-2 minutes after chilling.

Step 2

Mix well after adding eggs and yolks. Add salt and vanilla. Flour and chocolate powder mix. 

Step 3

Bake the pan items for 33–39 minutes (underdone) or 40–45 minutes (baked through). Removing it with the center set stops jiggling. Allow brownies to cool.

Step 4

Make filling. Beat peanut butter and butter with an electric mixer. Beat until creamy with paddle.

Step 5

Add powdered sugar twice and mix. Add vanilla. Frost cooled brownies evenly. Make chocolate coating. 

Step 6

Microwave chocolate and coconut oil in a heatproof basin for 30 seconds, stirring after each. 

Step 7

Chocolate should be delicately distributed around peanut butter filling. Season with sea salt. Slice and serve after 1 hour in the fridge or several at room temperature.
