Best Three Cheese Lasagna Dip Recipe

Ricotta cheese, ground beef, marinara, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheeses make this gooey, saucy lasagna dip excellent for parties.

– Olive oil, to coat – ¼ cup diced onion – ½ lb. ground beef – 2 cloves garlic, minced – Salt and pepper, to taste – 15 oz. part skim ricotta cheese – 16 oz. (2 cups) marinara sauce – 8 oz. shredded mozzarella cheese – ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese – ½ teaspoon dried Italian herb – Fresh basil – Garlic bread, crackers, or chips, for serving


Start with a 375-degree oven. A 9-inch deep dish pie plate or square pan should be greased.


Step 1

Heating oil in a small skillet over medium heat. Add onion and ground meat and brown until no pink remains. 

Step 2

Stir often for 1 minute to fragrantly sauté garlic cloves. Add salt and pepper to taste. Drain grease from the pan bottom.

Step 3

Ricotta should cover the bottom of the pan. Put sautéed onion and meat on ricotta.

Step 4

Repeat layering ½ tomato sauce and ½ mozzarella over the beef mixture. Sprinkle Parmesan over the last mozzarella layer. Sprinkle dried Italian herbs evenly.

Step 5

Roast till golden and bubbling, 20 minutes. Remove, sprinkle with fresh basil, and serve warm with crackers, garlic bread, or bread sticks.
