Best Cabbage And Sausage Skillet Recipe

This cabbage and sausage skillet cooks smoked sausage, veggies and savoury seasonings for a quick dinner. Huge low-carb supper that usually receives excellent reviews!

– 1 tablespoon olive oil – 1 pound smoked sausage such as kielbasa, sliced – 1 tablespoon butter – 1/2 cup onion chopped – 1 tablespoon garlic minced – 4 cups cabbage coarsely chopped – 1 1/2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning – salt and pepper to taste – 1 tablespoon chopped parsley


In a big pan, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. After you add the sausage, cook it for three to four minutes on each side, or until it turns golden brown.


Step 1

Remove sausage from pan and cover to keep warm. Melt butter in pan. Add onion and simmer for 5 minutes to soften.

Step 2

Add garlic and sauté 30 seconds. Put cabbage, Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper in the pan.

Step 3

Cook cabbage for 8-10 minutes to wilt. Put in the sausage and heat for another minute. Sprinkle parsley and serve.
