Delicious Banana Bars With Cream Cheese Frosting Recipe

  • ½ cup butter – softened
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 cups mashed very ripe (brown) bananas – about 3-4 medium bananas
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ⅛ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup butter
  • 8 ounces cream cheese – softened
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • pinch of salt

To prepare a 15x10x1 inch pan, butter it and preheat the oven to 350 degrees. The butter and sugar should be creamed together in a large bowl until the mixture is frothy and light. Mix thoroughly after adding the eggs and vanilla. The next step is to incorporate mashed bananas and thoroughly combine them.

Flour, baking soda, and salt should be mixed together in a medium bowl using a whisk. Add to the wet components and stir until everything is combined. Pour the mixture into the pan that has been prepared. Bake for twenty-five minutes, or until a toothpick which has been inserted comes out clean. Permit to cool down.

In a saucepan of medium size, melt the butter in order to make the frosting. Keep boiling the butter until it changes from a pale yellow to a dark golden yellow colour. Once it has melted, continue boiling. To get an accurate representation of the colour of the butter, it is recommended that you use a sauce pan with a light colour.

In a large bowl, combine the browned butter and cream cheese and beat them together until they are smooth. Vanilla extract and salt should be stirred in. The powdered sugar should be gradually blended into the frosting until it is entirely incorporated and smooth. After the bars have cooled, spread icing over them. Alternately, you can cover and preserve it at room temperature for up to three days before to serving.

The ideal bananas for preparing banana bread and cakes are those that have reached their full maturity and are softer and sweeter. It is expected that they will have a mushy texture and bear black patches. In order to use overripe bananas in baking at a later time, here is how to freeze them. Personally, I enjoy peeling them off of the fruit.

Putting it on a baking sheet to freeze it. The cookies should be removed from the baking plate and stored in a freezer bag that can be sealed. To a maximum of six months, they can be stored in the freezer. In order to use it in baked goods, you should first defrost it in the microwave or thaw it in the refrigerator.

They are going to be extremely drenched and will have an unpleasant appearance! It’s not a problem! Baking is not a problem for them, and they perform exceptionally well! Putting banana bars in the refrigerator, or at the very least allowing them to chill for a while, makes it much simpler to cut them into squares.
